SEQUENCE OF OPERATION


Operator hangs the bag on the bag-hanging arm and clamps the inner liner and mouth of the bag to the filling head, which is mounted on the weighing frame. The filling sequence starts with a START input from the operator via push button on the controller. The controller automatically tares the gross weight to obtain a Net weight.

The diverter valve and bag inflation fan is then switched on. The diverter valve diverts the air from the inflation fan to the bag to ensure the inner liner gets its shape. After a few of seconds' inflation, (settable time) controller switches off the inflation fan and diverter valve. Now the diverter valve diverts the air from the inflation fan to the dust absorption system allowing dust from the bag to be collected in the dust collector.

 


The material is then fed into the bag, the rate at which it is fed is controlled by a two position sector gate. The controller compares the actual weight with the target weight settings, when the Main/Coarse feed setting is reached the main feeder of the sector gate is latched, feeding continues in the Fine/Dribble feed mode. The material is fed in the fine feed mode until the Final Weight minus In-Flight value is reached, after which the Fine feeder is closed.

If in case during the Coarse Feed filling mode the material in the bag needs to be consolidated, a vibrating table comes up and vibrates the bag for a few seconds (settable time). This function can be disabled or enabled depending on the material characteristic

Once the feeding is stopped a settling time (adjustable time, varies from 500ms to 2 sec) is given after which the end of batch is signaled, automatically the Totalizer and Bag Counter is updated.

If in case the material needs to be consolidated at the end of the filling operation, the vibrating table comes up and vibrates the bag, for a particular interval of time (settable), after which vibration table comes down and controller gives an indication to the operator to remove the bag.

CONTROLLER SPECIFICATION

The controller used is equipped with a powerful PCC CPU including digital I/o Modules . The strain guage module is a plug in module with 24bit ADC.
